15 million former evangelicals are ready to join the fight — if organizers can find them.

This session will feature stories of exvangelicals (i.e. former evangelical Christians) to familiarize folks with a diversity of exvangelical experiences, then will review what we know about the 15 million people who are mostly invisible to progressive organizers. We will then dig into a conversation about bringing exvangelicals into efforts to counter Christian Nationalism, and will share some of the efforts of exvangelicals to connect with one another, visibilize their stories, and organize to counter harms perpetuated by the very evangelical leaders they used to follow. This session is open to those who are formerly evangelical themselves and those who are interested in organizing alongside exvangelicals toward liberation and freedom for all.
