Mirabelle Stoedter (she/her) is an American-by-choice since 2008, and had a career as an Accounting Systems Analyst. until 2014. Since then she has become what she calls a full-time-volunteer activist, a member of two non-profit progressive organizations and is the VIce President and Treasurer AU's Nashville Chapter, since 2016. She is also the webmaster of its website, editor of the weekly email newsletter, and Chapter organizer.



Having been raised in Africa, in countries with state religions, she witnessed first hand the oppression imposed by one group over others. Always interested in current affairs, she became more distressed as she saw democracy slowly eroding in the US. This prompted her passion for progressive causes, Church/State Separation being one that appealed to her most.
