John Fugelsang is the author of the New York Times bestseller SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND HATE: A SANE PERSON'S GUIDE TO TAKING BACK THE BIBLE FROM FUNDAMENTALISTS, FASCISTS AND FLOCK-FLEECING FRAUDS. He has previously been murdered on CSI and picketed by the Westboro Baptist Church, and currently hosts the popular TELL ME EVERYTHING series for SirusXM Progress, along with the John Fugelsang podcast.   He’s been a regular on MSNBC, CNN, and FOX News, and hosted the live political talk show Viewpoint for Current TV. He retraced Alexis de Tocqueville’s journey across the US for the PBS documentary Dream On, directed by Roger Weisberg and winner of the NYC Independent Film Festival award for Best Documentary. His Off-Broadway solo show, All the Wrong Reasons, directed by Tony Award–winner Pam MacKinnon and produced at New York Theatre Workshop, was nominated for the Drama League’s Distinguished Performance Award. He’s performed for US troops overseas, including the humanitarian mission to Haiti, and once interviewed George Harrison and Paul McCartney in different continents in the same week. His interview with George included several songs played impromptu on acoustic guitar; this proved to be George’s final televised appearance and was broadcast on VH1 as “The Last Performance.” Other credits include CSI, Coyote Ugly, Maggie Black, IFC’s The Onion News Network, and the award-winning Coexist Comedy Tour. He’s spoken on politics, comedy, and/or religion at nightclubs, universities, and the UK House of Commons. He lives with his family in New York City.
