Speaker Bio
Eli Williams-Szenes is the Director of Advocacy and Political Affairs at Bend The Arc: Jewish Action.
Eli has over 10 years of experience leading political landscape analysis, candidate relationships and endorsement strategies, coalition-based Independent Expenditure work, campaign management, multi-entity finance compliance, and state legislative leadership. Immediately prior to joining Bend the Arc, his work focused on running large-scale issue advocacy campaigns on behalf of reproductive freedom and voting rights organizations. His work has played a key role in races that tipped the balance of state legislatures, sent Democrats from swing districts to congress and helped to ensure statewide protections for reproductive rights and pro-democracy policies. Eli’s original “come from” in politics is deeply rooted in the intersection of his queerness and Judaism. He has a particular interest in the ways using a racial justice lens impacts how we plan campaigns, from research to messaging and voter contact, and is always looking for new research on activating infrequent voters and expanding the electorate to better reflect the nation. He lives in the DC area with his family.
