The Far Right isn’t just white and Christian — and that changes how we fight it.

The political Far Right is not as uniformly Christian and white as it may seem. We need more developed understanding to properly defend and advance the values of religious freedom, pluralism, and separation of church and state.

We will discuss a dangerously theocratic Christian movement in U.S. politics and show how and why the Pentecostal and charismatic New Apostolic Reformation is multiracial, multiethnic, and multinational — and has women in leadership.

We will also discuss the paradoxical rise of Hindu supremacism in the largely Christian conservative movement and the need for a transnational understanding of the Far Right and what brings various conservative movements together.
