Speaker Bio
Dr. Lindsay N. Sabadosa is the State Representative for the 1st Hampshire District in Massachusetts. First elected in 2018, her legislative priorities include protecting and expanding reproductive rights, ensuring universal health care, providing affordable housing, addressing the climate crisis, supporting access to transportation, and protecting workers’ rights. A long-time champion for reproductive justice, she is a long-standing volunteer with the Planned Parenthood Advocacy Fund of Massachusetts, an active member of the Abortion Rights Fund of Western Massachusetts, and a founding board member of DARLA, the Doula Association for Reproductive Loss and Abortion, which brought abortion and reproductive loss doula training to the Pioneer Valley for the first time.
Dr. Sabadosa's research focuses on abortion and bias within the Supreme Court, leading her to create the Sabadosa Supreme Court Repository. The repository includes analysis of all abortion-related cases heard by the Supreme Court from 1965–present, coding them based on seven constitutional issues (due process, privacy, free speech, states' rights, fetal personhood, equal protection, and stare decisis).
