Religious Freedom Empowers Religious Flourishing
Date & Time

Description

Interfaith Alliance and BJC will lead an interactive workshop exploring how religious freedom empowers faith communities to flourish. Church-state advocates often focus on how the wall of separation protects secular democracy, but it's equally important to acknowledge how it protects religious communities from government interference. Religious freedom protects our right to believe, worship, and advocate according to conscience. Government favoritism does no favors to religious flourishing, which is best facilitated free from state coercion and interference. Through case studies, discussion, and engagement, we will equip advocates with tools to defend religious freedom for all, challenge Christian nationalism, and build inclusive, pluralistic communities.
