Across virtually every aspect of life—from reproductive and LGBTQ+ rights to schools and even democracy itself—people’s freedoms are under attack in America. While the myriad attacks may seem unrelated, they are deeply connected: each is part of a coordinated effort to strip people of their freedoms and to enact state control, driven by far-right and Christian Nationalist extremists. This session will show how these attacks are connected and discuss some of the major players driving these attacks and their methods. The session will also provide attendees the opportunity to apply what they have learned to their own advocacy strategies in a breakout session.
